These cover using this website and the work we do for you. Anything written on your own quote or invoice wins over anything here.

Quotes and prices

A price given over the phone or on this site before anybody has seen the property is an estimate. A written quote after a visit is a price, and we hold it — if the work turns out to be different once something is opened up, we stop and tell you what has changed and what it will cost before carrying on. You are never billed for extra work you did not agree to.

Emergency and out-of-hours calls are charged at the rate we quote you on the phone, and that rate does not change afterwards.

Booking and cancelling

Appointment times are arrival windows rather than exact times, because a job before yours can run long — if we are going to miss the window we will call you. You can cancel or move a visit at no cost up to the day before. A visit cancelled once a crew is at your door may be charged as a call-out.

Paying

Invoices are due on the terms printed on them. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit against materials, and that will be on your quote in writing before you agree to anything.

Warranty

Our workmanship is warranted for two years from completion, and waterproofing installations for five, from the date on the final invoice. Materials carry whatever their manufacturer gives them, and we will help you claim it.

What the warranty does not cover: damage from something outside the work we did, later alterations by somebody else, neglect, or an act of nature. If you think something we did has failed, call us — we would far rather come and look at it than argue about it.

Insurance work

Where an insurer is paying, you are still our customer and the agreement is with you. If your insurer declines part of a claim, that part remains payable by you, and we will tell you before doing it rather than after.

Access and the property

We need safe access to the work and to a water shut-off. Please tell us about anything we could not reasonably know: where a line runs, a pet, a tenant, or a part of the building somebody else has already worked on.

The content here is ours. Prices, timescales and availability shown on the site are illustrative and are not an offer. Reviews shown on service pages are illustrative placeholder content while we collect verified customer reviews.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability for a job is limited to putting the work right or the value of that job.

Law

Ontario law applies, and the Ontario courts deal with any dispute.
